  6. Henry Addington was born in London on May 30, 1757, the son of a prominent physician, Dr. Anthony Addington. He received his education at Winchester College and Brasenose College, Oxford, where he studied law. After completing his studies, Addington was admitted to the bar in 1784, and he soon established a successful legal practice.
