Henrietta FitzJames (1667 – April 3 1730), the Dowager Lady Waldegrave and titular Countess of Newcastle, was an illegitimate daughter of James Stuart, Duke of York, afterward James II, King of Great Britain, by his mistress, Arabella Churchill, herself sister of the great Duke of Marlborough.

Arabella had four children by James. Henrietta was the eldest of the siblings. She married Henry Waldegrave, the son of a cavalier in 1683. He was the Comptroller of James’ household.
