Gordonstoun is a co-educational independent school for boarding and day pupils in Moray, Scotland. It was founded in 1934 by Kurt Hahn, a German Jewish educator, as the British Salem School. It has an enrolment of around 500 full boarders and 100 day pupils, and a low student-teacher ratio. It is part of the Round Square Conference of Schools and has some notable alumni, such as Prince Philip and David Bowie.
