Contents. hide. (Top) References. William Tailboys, de jure 7th Baron Kyme (c.1416 – 26 May 1464) was a wealthy Lincolnshire squire and adherent of the Lancastrian cause during the Wars of the Roses . He was born in Kyme, Lincolnshire, the son of Sir Walter Tailboys and his first wife. [1] .
The title Baron Tailboys of Kyme, Lincolnshire, was created in 1529 for Gilbert Tailboys, the stepfather of Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Richmond and Somerset , who was himself the only illegitimate child acknowledged by King Henry VIII of England.
