Gilbert Tailboys or Talboys, 1st Baron Tailboys of Kyme (c.1497/98 [1] – 30 April 1530) was an English courtier and Member of Parliament during the reign of Henry VIII of England.

Tailboys survived his translation for no more than four months; he died on 15 Apr. 1530, apparently intestate, and was buried at South Kyme. His three children succeeded in turn to the barony of Tailboys, which became extinct on the death some 30 years later of Elizabeth Lady Tailboys.
The title Baron Tailboys of Kyme, Lincolnshire, was created in 1529 for Gilbert Tailboys, the stepfather of Henry FitzRoy, 1st Duke of Richmond and Somerset (1519–1536), who was himself the only illegitimate child acknowledged by King Henry VIII of England.
