[1] [2] [3] Biography. Born Leander Eugene Berg in Astoria, Oregon, he and his family moved to Seattle when he was one year old.
Gene Nelson was a versatile performer who appeared in movies, TV shows and Broadway musicals. He is best known for his role as Will Parker in Oklahoma! and his work with Elvis Presley and I Dream of Jeannie.
