Frederico I (em alemão: Friedrich, Gota, 15 de julho de 1646 - Friedrichswerth, 2 de agosto de 1691), foi Duque de Saxe-Gota-Altemburgo de 1675 a 1691. Era quarto filho, mas o primeiro que chegou à idade adulta de Ernesto I, Duque de Saxe-Gota e da duquesa Isabel Sofia de Saxe-Altemburgo .

Frederick succeeded his father Duke of Saxe-Hildburghausen in 1780, when only seventeen years old; because of this, his great grand uncle, the prince Joseph of Saxe-Hildburghausen, assumed the regency on his behalf, this regency only ended in 1787 at the death of Prince Joseph.

Fredericka of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg (17 July 1715 – 2 May 1775), was a German princess, a member of the House of Wettin and by marriage Duchess of Saxe-Weissenfels. Born in Gotha, she was the fifteenth of nineteen children born from the marriage of Frederick II, Duke of Saxe-Gotha-Altenburg and Magdalena Augusta of Anhalt-Zerbst.
