Francis Talbot, 5th Earl of Shrewsbury, 5th Earl of Waterford, 11th Baron Talbot, KG (1500 – 25 September 1560) was the son of George Talbot, 4th Earl of Shrewsbury, and Anne Hastings. He also held the subsidiary titles of 14th Baron Strange of Blackmere and 10th Baron Furnivall .

Container Inventory. Dates. 1908 - 1953. Biographical note. This collection is comprised of the papers of Francis Xavier Talbot, S.J., one time Editor-in-Chief of America Magazine (1936-1944). Father Talbot, a native of Philadelphia, entered the Society of Jesus in 1906.
Francis Xavier Talbot SJ (January 25, 1889 – December 3, 1953) was an American Catholic priest and Jesuit who was active in Catholic literary and publishing circles, and became the President of Loyola College in Maryland. Born in Philadelphia, he entered the Society of Jesus in 1906, and was educated at St. Andrew-on-Hudson and Woodstock College.
