After meeting on Jools Holland, Feist and Mastodon later embarked on an unlikely collaboration of a split 7" for Record Store Day. A limited 5000-copy run was done for Record Store Day 2012 featuring Feist covering “Black Tongue” and Mastodon covering “A Commotion”.

Entstehung. Im Oktober 2011 spielte Leslie Feist zwei Lieder in der britischen TV-Show Later with Jools Holland. Die Band Mastodon befand sich gleichzeitig im Backstagebereich und waren von Feists Stimme angetan und hegten den Wunsch, einmal mit ihr zusammenzuarbeiten.
