23 de set. de 2023 · Cuckoo Weir, in Eton Wick on a stream joining the Thames, was held by Burnham Abbey before the Dissolution, being then described as 'a meadowe called Cuckowe ware, and a parcel of land making altogether 3 acres.' The Brocas meadow, bordering the river just above the town, was held in 1548 by Eton College of the king.

Eton Action's largest annual fundraiser has raised over £40,000 in previous years and will this year celebrate its 50th anniversary. Entry to the Eton Action Fair is £3 for adults and £2 for children.

By the end of the 1880s they were classified as 'fairly comfortable' and housed, besides the coachmen, tradespeople serving a community which was classified as middleclass and even, in Eton Avenue and Strathray Gardens, upper middle-class and wealthy.
