Elizabeth of York, Duchess of Suffolk also known as Elizabeth Plantagenet (22 April 1444 – c. 1503) was the sixth child and third daughter of Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York (a great-grandson of King Edward III) and Cecily Neville. She was thus a sister of kings Edward IV and Richard III.
Elizabeth of York was born at the Palace of Westminster as the eldest child of King Edward IV and his wife, Elizabeth Woodville. Her christening was celebrated at Westminster Abbey , sponsored by her grandmothers, Jacquetta of Luxembourg , Duchess of Bedford, and Cecily Neville , Duchess of York.

Elizabeth of York, Duchess of Suffolk, also known as Elizabeth Plantagenet, was the sixth child and third daughter of Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York, and Cecily Neville. Born into a family with royal connections, she was the sister of kings Edward IV and Richard III of England.
She bore him seven children, four of whom survived infancy: Prince Arthur (1486-1502), Henry VIII (1491-1547), Margaret, Queen of Scotland (1489-1541), and Mary, Queen of France and subsequently Duchess of Suffolk (1496?-1533).
