She served as a lady-in-waiting to Queen consort Elizabeth Woodville, and later as Lady of the Bedchamber to the Queen's daughter, Elizabeth of York, consort of King Henry VII of England.

Elizabeth was the daughter and heiress of Frederick Tilney, Esq., of Ashwellthorpe, Norfolk, Boston, Lincolnshire, etc., and Elizabeth, daughter of Laurence Cheney, Esq.Wikipedia states that she was born at Ashwellthorpe Hall, Norfolk.
