Brief Life History of Eleanor. When Eleanor Beaufort was born in 1431, her father, Edmund Beaufort 2nd Duke of Somerset, was 25 and her mother, Eleanor Beauchamp, was 23. She married James Butler 5th Earl of Ormond about 1458. She died on 16 August 1501, in Devon, England, at the age of 70.
