Edward FitzGerald, por vezes grafado Fitzgerald (Woodbridge, 31 de Março de 1809 – Merton, Norfolk, 14 de Junho de 1883) foi um poeta inglês, de ascendência irlandesa, que se notabilizou como o primeiro tradutor para uma língua europeia (o inglês) da obra Rubaiyat do poeta e matemático persa Omar Khayyam.
Edward FitzGerald (1809-1883) was an English poet and writer, best known for his translation of The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam. He also translated works by Calderón, Jami, and Attar, and was a friend of Tennyson and Thackeray.
Edward FitzGerald was an English writer, best known for his Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám, which, though it is a very free adaptation and selection from the Persian poet’s verses, stands on its own as a classic of English literature.

Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám is the title that Edward FitzGerald gave to his 1859 translation from Persian to English of a selection of quatrains (rubāʿiyāt) attributed to Omar Khayyam (1048–1131), dubbed "the Astronomer-Poet of Persia".
