Edward Carroll Stone (born January 23, 1936) is an American space scientist, professor of physics at the California Institute of Technology, and former director of the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).

Dr. Edward C. Stone is a physicist and project scientist for the Voyager program from 1972 to the present. He has been involved in the investigations of Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, and has also led the public relations and education efforts of the Voyager missions. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences and has received many awards and honors.
