3 de abr. de 2006 · Gday all am looking to buy a family friendly fishing boat around 5m. Found quintrex freedom sport bowrider 510 to be the pick early but quite expensive. Looked today at Stacer 525 easy rider looked ok wondering why it is cheaper than quintrex by heaps? #Is it just the name of quintrex or is there something else i should know?
I have ridden in the 480 Easy Rider with a 75 E-TEC, and for an all round family boat, they are a great package. For alloy, they ride well, and there is plenty of room for kids, eskies, fishing gear etc. I would lean on the side of more power, and the E-TEC 75 really motored on this boat. They are a good all-rounder.

Seems to be the biggest problems I'll face. The boat I'm looking at is priced at $10k which seems to be on the expensive side of things.
2 de jan. de 2008 · Re: Easyrider fibreglass hulls - anyone know about these? i had a runabout and a h/cab in5.1. barney11. i had a 5.1easyrider ina half cab and a runabout with 130yammy. went everywhere even went to the banks. they ride well especially in a following sea. they are a very stable boat and solid.

18 de fev. de 2008 · Re: Looking for feedback on 19' Vickers Easyrider boat. If you are talking a fresh water river, then beware. Fresh water is not as kind to glass boats as salt water IMO. The original 186 Easyrider was a pretty good boat. The length was 18'6", the beam 7'10" and was rated to 200 HP when that was measured at the powerhead.
10 de jul. de 2005 · Re: Easyrider. Thanks for all the feedback. Seems like a good shaped hull for inshore use, reminds me of the swiftcraft viking i had, just a smaller scale. Mine has a 85hp with power tilt behind it. 120hp on a 15 footer, would have been some fun Mine needs a bit of work.
26 de jan. de 2015 · Re: rebuild - easyrider 139. I also used the Boatcraft Pacific "Bote Cote" epoxy system on the marine ply floor when recently made a new floor for the Quinny. Their product called TPRDA is added to the first coat (approx 20% by volume - from memory) to assist in the first coat penetrating and binding the grain.
There appears to be a few second hand 2005 Stacer 525 EASY RIDER going around at the moment in the 28-30K range. Some with 115HP DI EVINRUDE , some with Mercury 90HP 2st. Should I be looking at them, or just wait 10 weeks for a new bluefin ?
I purchased the 525 Stacer with 115 four stroke, and have been happy so far. The quintrex has the flared hull, and the Stacer has the Evo hull, weather or not it makes that bigger difference in boats this size I'm not sure. A mate has a 510 quintrex and I can't notice any great difference in the ride.
