24 de abr. de 2017 · How do I correctly say "I don't speak Spanish" in Spanish (not just in Latin America but also in Spain). Google translate suggests "Mi no habla espanol" but I have been told that that is incorrect and the correct form in fact is "No hablo espanol". I'm confused, are they both acceptable?

Históricamente, el tratamiento de señor presuponía nobleza, potestad o heroicidad, aunque ya en el siglo XVIII aparece recogido en el Autoridades con la acepción de que era usado como tratamiento para referirse a otras personas, ya sean iguales o incluso inferiores.

27 de nov. de 2011 · "Don", "Señor" and "Caballero" come from nobility titles granted in the Middle Ages. They are widely accepted in some countries/regions, and frowned upon in others. From those three, "señor" is the safest bet, but as you already saw, it is not completely safe. The same with "joven" or "chico". Not always safe.

"Contacte con nosotros" also means "Contact us", referring to a group of males or a mixed group, but it's the formal way.
31 de out. de 2016 · BTW, Don/Doña is an honorific title, so you can not address whoever you want to with it. Also Don may be preceded by Señor, and Doña by Señora or Señorita, thus conveying more respect, and in the last case, showing whether the lady is married or not: Señorita Doña Laura Lopez.
28 de nov. de 2015 · Adding more information, you can say "disculpa" (excuse me) or "perdón" (pardon) when interrupting a conversation, but not "lo siento" (because you don't feel sorry for interrupting that conversation). On the contrary, you can say "lo siento" at a funeral, but not "disculpa" or "perdón" (because it's not your fault the death of that person).

7 de ago. de 2012 · Don't mention it. Don't worry about it. All as very casual responses to "Thank you" In Spanish I would use "de nada" in the same environment. With friends / family, etc.. If I were entering a classy restaurant and held the door for someone who responded with "muchos Gracias" then I would reply "es un placer" (it's a pleasure).
