  1. Dennis Lee Eckersley (born October 3, 1954), nicknamed "Eck", is an American former professional baseball pitcher and color commentator. Between 1975 and 1998, he pitched in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Cleveland Indians, Boston Red Sox, Chicago Cubs, Oakland Athletics, and St. Louis Cardinals.

His 1,071 games pitched was a record, until eclipsed by Orosco a year later. Dennis Eckersley was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Cooperstown on July 25, 2004.
