Daniel James Hatfield Finch-Hatton, 17th Earl of Winchilsea, 12th Earl of Nottingham (born 7 October 1967), is a British hereditary peer and descendant of the American Vanderbilt family and the Hungarian Széchenyi family. He was a member of the House of Lords between June and November 1999.

Daniel Finch, 8th Earl of Winchilsea and 3rd Earl of Nottingham (24 May 1689 – 2 August 1769), KG, PC, of Burley House near Oakham in Rutland and of Eastwell Park near Ashford in Kent, was a British peer and politician.

His son Daniel Finch inherited the Earldom of Winchilsea in 1729. The second earl was a prominent politician, serving as Lord President of the Council, Secretary of State for the Northern and Southern Departments, and First Lord of the Admiralty.
