Clyde Kenneth Harris (April 18, 1918 – March 2, 1958) [1] was an American soldier and interior decorator. He served as one of the "Monuments Men" during World War II and later married a granddaughter of Kaiser Wilhelm II . Early life. Harris was born on April 18, 1918, in Maud, Oklahoma.

An accomplished artist and interior decorator, Clyde Kenneth Harris was born in the small town of Maud, Oklahoma on April 18, 1918.His father, Bert Harris, was vice president of the First National Bank in Maud and later in Konowa, Oklahoma. Harris earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Decoration from the University of Oklahoma in l939.

Clyde Kenneth Harris was born on 18 Apr 1918 in Maud, Seminole County, Oklahoma, United States to parents Van Buren Harris and Aurora Vandevere. He married Cecilie von Preußen , a Prussian princess who was a granddaughter of Kaiser Wilhelm II , and a second-great-granddaughter of Queen Victoria .
Harris died of a cerebral hemorrhage at the age of only thirty-nine on March 2, l958 in Amarillo. Cecilie died in May l975 in Taunus, Germany, while visiting relatives. They had one daughter, Kira Alexandrine, born October 20, 1954.
