Chigwell School is a co-educational independent boarding and day school. It is a private school, and not a Public School, which is a common misconception. It is located in Chigwell, in the Epping Forest district of Essex. It consists of a pre-prep (ages 4–8), Junior School (ages 8–11), Senior School (ages 11–16) and sixth form.

Pupils enter the Senior School in Year 9, although they will have been following a senior school curriculum since the start of Year 7. This is both an exciting and increasingly serious phase as pupils’ development, emotionally and academically, accelerates quickly towards maturity.
Chigwell is a co-educational school for 4 to 18-year-olds with boarding available at Sixth Form. The school was founded in 1629 and for nearly four centuries we have been preparing pupils to go out into the world.
