Cheryl Ann Krause is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the 3rd Circuit. She joined the court in 2014 after being nominated by President Barack Obama. Early life and education. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Krause earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1989 and her J.D. from Stanford Law School in 1993.
Krause led the prosecution and investigation of a $65 million food stamp fraud conspiracy. The investigation spanned two years and resulted in more than 60 pleas and convictions, including of several bank officers.
