29 de jan. de 2022 · Brontë Family Biography. The Brontës were a large family to begin with: eight people living in a small row house in Yorkshire, in the village of Thornton. The children in age order were Maria, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Branwell, Emily, and Anne. In 1820, when Anne was just an infant, the family moved to the parsonage of Haworth.
Maria Branwell Brontë died from what was thought to be cancer on 15 September 1821, leaving five daughters and a son to the care of her spinster sister Elizabe.
