Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey (born March 13, 1764, Falloden, Northumberland, Eng.—died July 17, 1845, Howick, Northumberland) was a British politician, leader of the Whig (liberal) Party, and prime minister (1830–34), who presided over the passage of the Reform Act of 1832, modernizing the franchise and the electoral system.

30 de ago. de 2021 · Charles, 1st Earl Grey Charles, 1st Earl Grey, was born in 1729, the fourth son of Sir Henry Grey, 1st Bart. of Howick. He entered the army and obtained his first commission in 1744. He served in the Seven Years' War, being aide de camp to Prince Ferdinand at Minden and later to the Count De Lippe in Portugal.

Charles Grey, also known as Viscount Howick, was the 2nd Earl Grey. He was the oldest surviving son of Charles Grey KB – hence his title. He was born on the 13th of March 1764 in Falloden, Northumberland. And died 81 years later, in 1845 at his stately home.
