Há 1 dia · Marquis de Lafayette came to Camden on his 1824-1825 tour of the United States. On March 9, 1825, he ceremoniously laid the cornerstone to the Baron DeKalb Monument. Baron DeKalb had been a dear friend of the Marquis. He was mortally wounded at the Revolutionary Battle of Camden some 45 years prior.
