Charles, Margrave of Burgau, also known as Charles of Austria, (22 November 1560 at Křivoklát Castle in Bohemia – 30 October 1618 in Überlingen [2] ), was the son of Archduke Ferdinand II of Austria and his first morganatic marriage to Philippine Welser. He was the brother of Andrew of Austria .

Em 1601, Sibila casou com o seu primo Carlos, Margrave de Burgau, filho morganático do arquiduque Fernando II da Áustria. Em 1610, o casal mudou-se para a sua própria residência em Günzburg. Aí, ela manteve a sua própria corte feudal mesmo após a morte do marido, em 1618. Teve uma importante ação como patrono das artes, em particular da música.
Tras su matrimonio, se establecería en el castillo de Günzburg donde tendría una importante corte como margrave de Burgau. Por aquel entonces, Gunzburgo formaba parte de Austria Anterior, zona de Austria que había sido gobernada por su padre como archiduque hasta la muerte de este en 1595. Murió en 1618.

Margrave Karl intensified the Habsburg claims to power by increasing and raising customs duties, among other things. This soon led to numerous jurisdictional conflicts with neighbours and "inmates". Against this backdrop, the Margrave commissioned the important Swabian land map painter Johann Andreas Rauch (1575-1632) to survey and map the entire margraviate of Burgau.
