Broods are a musical duo from Nelson, New Zealand, composed of Georgia Josiena Nott on lead vocals, with older brother and multi-instrumentalist Caleb Allan Joseph Nott on production and backing vocals.
Veth, previously known as Nott the Brave, met Caleb in a prison where they were both held prisoners. Caleb used Frumpkin to bring a piece of wire into their cell, which Nott used to pick the lock. Caleb proceeded to set the jail on fire and scream for help. The guards promptly fled, and Caleb and Nott walked out of the jail together.

Caleb referred to the Mighty Nein as their new family and suggested that he and Nott make an effort to boost morale. Nott agreed, telling Caleb to fake a heart attack so the group could bond over "saving" him. Caleb apologized to Nott for casting Suggestion on her to make her swim.

Caleb Nott is the multi-instrumentalist and backing vocals of Broods. Multi-instrumentalist behind the sibling duo Broods responsible for the trance-like, synthetic beats that came to define their music. Their singles "Bridges" and "Mother & Father" both went platinum.
