To the haunting rhythms of local blues, mismatched detectives Rex Randolph and Cal Calhoun operate out of an office on Bourbon Street. Young, suave, Ivy League-educated lawyer Rex comes from an aristocratic Louisiana family.
Bourbon Street Beat was the least successful of the many cloned 77 Sunset Strip detective shows churned out by Warner Bros for the ABC network in the late 50s and early 60s. Set in New Orleans, the series starred Richard Long as Rex Randolph and Andrew Duggan (all 6′ 5″ of him) as Cal Calhoun.
Mon, Oct 5, 1959. Rex Randolph discovers his partner has died, the police dismiss the case as a simple suicide, but Randolph is convinced far more is at stake. Working his way through the social elite of Pelican Bay he does uncover a truth no one expected and picks up a new partner for his business along the way.
