Brigadier Maharaja Sawai Bhawani Singh MVC (22 October 1931 – 17 April 2011) was an officer in the Indian Army and an entrepreneur. Singh served in the Indian army from 1951 to 1975. In the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971, he was decorated with the Maha Vir Chakra, the country's second-highest award for gallantry in the face of the enemy.

17 de abr. de 2011 · Bhawani Singh commanded the para commandos in the 1971 war against Pakistan and was responsible for the capture of Chachro in Sindh. He moved into the small town with his unit and blocked Chachro from one side and from the other side the town was blocked by 20th Rajput regiment jawans commanded by Col GC Bhandari of Jodhpur.
