Bard College is a private liberal arts college in the hamlet of Annandale-on-Hudson, in the town of Red Hook, in New York State. The campus overlooks the Hudson River and Catskill Mountains within the Hudson River Historic District—a National Historic Landmark.

Bard College offers a liberal arts education with approximately 35 stand-alone programs and 26 interdisciplinary fields in five academic divisions. Students can also pursue specialized degree programs, preprofessional options, and graduate studies at Bard and its affiliates.
The ensemble has been in residence at Bard College for over three decades, and since 2006 has been Ensemble in Residence with the Bard College Conservatory of Music. In May 2012, the Naumburg Foundation invited Da Capo to premiere works by their first ever composition winners.
