Anderson Hays Cooper (born June 3, 1967) [1] is an American broadcast journalist and political commentator currently anchoring the CNN news broadcast show Anderson Cooper 360°. In addition to his duties at CNN, Cooper serves as a correspondent for 60 Minutes on CBS News.

He has reported on major events such as Hurricane Katrina, the Boston Marathon Bombing and the Indian Ocean tsunami. He is also a gay man who came out in 2012.
