Hello everyone, A few months ago, I watched an amazing talk by Alan Watts, but I can't seem to find it again. In this speech, he dives into reality and consciousness, creating a captivating story about our endless desire for things to feel more real. He starts with the radio, pointing out how it wasn’t enough for us.

Less than 20 pages, but written in his last year and incredibly concise. My second choice for a first book would be The Book: the taboo against knowing who you are.
19 de abr. de 2023 · In case you are looking for a speaker that would be somehow "like" Alan Watts, you can just forget it. The man is unique, his approach is unique, his style is unique and thus, the experience of listening to him or reading his books is just unique. What blows my mind most about Alan Watts is his extraordinary ability to make you forget that you ...
2 de ago. de 2022 · I mean its Alan Watts, classic rascal and enjoyer of worldly pleasures. In the houseboat summit he actually says you shouldn't stay high all the time, its a pretty interesting quote that surprised me. He says if your high all the time you don't really get the same thing out of it.
People usually attack things they don’t understand, or that threaten their idea of reality. Thing is, most of what Alan says isn’t “attack-able”. Most of it is so simple and unbiased that you can’t argue against it, because he’s not making an argument. You can’t argue with one person. That makes people feel threatened.
