Koning (titel) De kroon van Denemarken, het ambtsteken van een koning. Koning is na keizer de hoogste vorstelijke titel. Met deze titel wordt het (mannelijk) staatshoofd van een koninkrijk aangeduid. Het vrouwelijke equivalent heet een koningin . Vaak wordt een koninkrijk aangeduid als monarchie.
