Stourpaine (/ s t aʊər ˈ p eɪ n /) is a village and civil parish in the ceremonial county of Dorset in southern England. It is situated in the valley of the River Stour in the Dorset administrative district, three miles (five kilometres) northwest of Blandford Forum.

9 July 1928. Opened. 15 September 1956. Closed. Stourpaine & Durweston Halt was a railway station in the English county of Dorset. It was located between Shillingstone and Blandford Forum on the Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway. The station consisted of a small concrete platform and shelter.

He died from cancer in 2006, aged 89 at his home in Stourpaine, Dorset, with his family at his bedside. After a funeral service at the Holy Trinity Church in Stourpaine on 16 June, Shand's body was cremated .

The Great Dorset Steam Fair (abbreviated GDSF, and since 2010 also known as The National Heritage Show) is an annual show featuring steam-powered vehicles and machinery. It now covers 600 acres (2.4 km 2) and runs for five days.
