  1. Robin James Wilson (born 5 December 1943) is an English mathematician. He is an emeritus professor in the Department of Mathematics at the Open University, having previously been Head of the Pure Mathematics Department and Dean of the Faculty.

He—along with Marcus du Sautoy —has been in the forefront of efforts to popularize mathematics since 1998, the centenary of Carroll's death. Wilson's interest in Dodgson dates back to that time.
