Tetbury is a town and civil parish inside the Cotswold district in Gloucestershire, England. It lies on the site of an ancient hill fort , on which an Anglo-Saxon monastery was founded, probably by Ine of Wessex , in 681.

The Church of St Mary the Virgin is the parish church of Tetbury in the Cotswold District of Gloucestershire, England. It was built in 1781 incorporating elements of an earlier church. It is a grade I listed building. History. The site of a church since the 7th century, and may have been the site of a Saxon monastery.
