Riviera-Pays-d'-Enhaut District is a district in Vaud canton. Geography. Riviera-Pays-d'Enhaut has an area, as of 2009, of 282.9 square kilometers (109.2 sq mi). Of this area, 112.91 km 2 (43.59 sq mi) or 39.9% is used for agricultural purposes, while 112.05 km 2 (43.26 sq mi) or 39.6% is forested.
On 1 September 2006 the municipalities of Château-d'Oex, Rossinière and Rougemont came from the District du Pays-d'Enhaut to join the Riviera-Pays-d'Enhaut District. Highlights. The municipality was part of the Pays-d'Enhaut District until it was dissolved on 31 August 2006, and Château-d'Œx became part of the new district of Riviera-Pays-d'Enhaut. The municipality is the largest in land area in the canton. It is located in the upper Saane valley.
