Madaba (em árabe مادبا ) é uma cidade na Jordânia, e capital da província homónima, foi construída no antigo local bíblico de Medba ou Medeba, de onde adquiriu o seu nome. Ela está localizada a 35 km a sudoeste de Amã, a capital do país.

It is best known for its Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics, especially a large Byzantine-era mosaic map of the Holy Land.

Madaba is a combination of rural home life and a hot spot for religious tourism. Known as the “City of Mosaics”, Madaba is the cultural epicenter for Byzantine and Umayyad mosaics. The Madaba Map, also known as the Madaba Mosaic Map, is part of a floor mosaic in the early Byzantine church of Saint George in Madaba, Jordan. The mosaic map depicts an area from Lebanon in the north to the Nile Delta in the south, and from the Mediterranean Sea in the west to the Eastern Desert .
