Founder of the Justice for Subpostmasters Alliance (JFSA) and campaigner in the British Post Office scandal. Alan Bates (born c. 1954) [1] is a former subpostmaster in Britain. He was appointed subpostmaster at Craig-y-Don, Llandudno in March 1998.
In around 2000, problems with the system were reported by Alan Bates, the subpostmaster at Craig-y-Don from March 1998 until November 2003. In 2003, Bates had his contract as subpostmaster terminated when he refused to comply with Post Office policy.
