But this time it does also add a HDR option. Previously the image looked washed out and terrible if you remote played to a PC while HDR was set to on on the PS4. Xbox in-home streaming used to have the edge over PS remote streaming in terms of input latency only (being limited to low-bitrate h264 will do that), but ever since I switched to using 3rd party apps for PS and Xbox remote play, PS has definitely been the superior experience, by a long shot.

PSPlay just recently released on windows and it's actually wild how much better it runs on my ROG Ally compared to Sony's app. Like 1080p looks phenomenal and i can't notice any latency at all. I even tried it at my parent's place and it ran perfectly as well. It's made me a believer in remote play tech now.
14 de mar. de 2023 · Remote play in my experience works better on the phone than on other devices in my home like the Deck, Wi-Fi tablet or even Pc. Yeah I doubt they would ever do it either, but I'd love it lol. The ultimate dream is a new PSP that can play your PS4 library natively and then run remote play/streaming for PS5 games.

Same here, my PS4 Pro was unplayable via Remote Play even though it was wired. But the PS5 feels like playing locally, it's great.
1 de dez. de 2020 · Remote play is pretty amazing on Xbox but I haven't tried Playstation remote play since midway thru the PS4 gen and had one horrible experience and then never bothered to try again. I'd imagine it works most of the time, it just didn't work at all for me and I was like, eh, what's the point. I love the cloud streaming option too.

3 de jul. de 2021 · I don't know if it runs at a solid 60 on the PS5 itself, but it's certainly higher than 30. C. Significant input lag. The PS Remote Play app has a settings menu, but the only options for quality and framerate are under a PS4 header, and even then the highest resolution selectable is 720. I have framerate set to "High" there.

7 de abr. de 2021 · When Remote Play first debuted on PS4 and Vita, I thought it was incredibly cool and novel - but not entirely practical to use with a majority of PS4 games. The amount of latency inherent to the image and audio streaming, even over a properly-configured wired home network to PC, always kept me from enjoying all but the most laid-back turn-based games played via Remote Play.
