As I see it the animation style for Gear 5 is a visual representation of so many core aspects of Luffy and the idea of Joyboy. It's pure silliness.
I think your thinking in regards to gear 5's move set is pretty limited. The whole appeal of gear 5 is that Luffy has complete freedom now, he has the most riduculous power in the world. Oni Luffy medal + Current Event Luffy medal + Gear 5 medal. Since he stacks DEF, I believe DEF > HP > ATK are his stat order. EDIT: (Realized Red Roc isn't as good as the current event one for defenders!) Red Roc is still good if you wanna embrace more of a hybrid-class playstyle, but I prefer and use the current event one for more tankiness!
I understand that. However, given that it was a sore point in the manga, they had the opportunity to make slight changes. They make changes all the time. The Hiyori bit wouldn’t be so hard to change. Had they put the scene at the beginning of the episode or the very end, it wouldn’t have felt so out of place.

The focus of this build is recreating Luffy’s punches with the combination of Eldritch Blast for long range attacks and Pact Weapon for closer enemies.
16 de ago. de 2022 · Gear 5 Luffy is completely overkill, I doubt all of the named characters in Demon Slayer working together could win against Hody’s crew on Fishmen island let alone something like the Donquixote family or a Yonko crew. Base pre time skip Luffy could blitz and one-shot, Gear 5 is spite.

And before you guys say he was to go full power he does not because yami sister beat some bandits without breaking a sweat and used zetten. So that way I think asta will win.
