If you watch the file transfers while Discord tries to update, you can see it trying to create the 1.0.9008 folder by transferring everything from 1.0.9007 into it, failing to update, then moving it back.

Browser discord is much more limited than the app. There are many points about this, for example discord optimization in the browser is far behind the app in my experience. 3 de fev. de 2022 · Had to open via browser. apparently a new toggle in the settings for BD was added: Settings -> BetterDiscord -> Developer Settings -> DevTools. In the desktop app, press Ctrl-R (yes this reloads Discord, so don't do it during VC) and quickly press Ctrl-Shift-I before the app script has a chance to disable it.
24 de ago. de 2021 · I’ve tried request desktop site on both Safari and Chrome on my iPad and the icon for ‘open in browser’ on discord.com appears very briefly then disappears/being replaced by ‘open Discord in App’. I’ve also tried Incognito mode in Chrome and no change.

I bet haha. I use it as a replacement container for Microsoft 365 since I can't access OneDrive directly from Word and Excel when installed through WINE etc. So I just use Edge logged in to my Microsoft account. And while I'm at it, i have the web version of WhatsApp open in a tab along with it. On Windows I use Edge mostly as a PDF reader.
I use the browser version of Discord. I would like someone to give me some pros and cons of each. I especially wish to know if one is slower than the other, and if one slows down your pc more than the other.

21 de mar. de 2022 · Browser version > desktop version. Here is why, in my humble opinion, you should consider using the browser version of Discord instead of the desktop. Performance. The desktop version uses the electron framework, which is basically just Chrome bundled with a Node.js runtime that runs all the code a browser can't run.
