I created a shared non host door panel family that can be nested into curtain wall door families and regular door family so that I can pull it onto a legend. You can also create Assembly and Assembly views from any curtain wall components (doors, windows, panels, lullions) and use them for legends.

Place a curtain wall. Use Tab/Select and pick a curtain panel (unpin it if needed) From the type menu replace the Curtain Panel with the the CW Door type you loaded.
