Feels like a token response rather than an acknowledgement of quite a serious issue with their whole SQL course. Maybe it would help if you contacted them too? I would submit a support ticket but I can't see any option for that on their website.

26 de dez. de 2013 · Posted January 6, 2014. Collation and character set mean the same thing. It is the way the characters are stored in a binary fashion. Different collations store characters differently. Unicode has a defined way on how characters get stored, so when you choose a unicode collation then that's how it stores the characters.

The only reason I'll do something like that is if I have a list of possible where conditions that I may add to the query, and want to make sure there is at least one condition so that everything else can have AND before it. Using those conditions has no other effect on a query, they just tell it to return all rows.
