I haven't played the sims in a little over a year. When I decided to come back, I had to install the EA app and be forced to uninstall origin. I went through with this, and the app and sims 4 downloaded pretty quickly. When I launch the game, I'm met with this glitched starting screen (see picture), and I can't click on anything.
Hero. @Mack232323 Moving the Electronic Arts folder shouldn't be a problem. The game will create a new one, with a new Sims 4 folder inside, if it's able to launch at all. Try running the takeown command on your Documents folder. First, run a Windows search for "Command Prompt," open it, and enter this command:

There are a few things to try if your game won't update: Run a Repair on The Sims. Clear the cache for the EA App. Run the EA App as an administrator. You'd need to be missing at least one expansion pack, one game pack, and one stuff pack.
