Old School RuneScape is Jagex's official term for a previous version of the RuneScape game that was introduced from the August 2007 Archive of RuneScape, a backup of the RuneScape source code as it had been on 10 August 2007. It is also commonly referred to as OSRS or 2007scape.
There are 147 pay-to-play quests in Old School RuneScape, offering a total of 275 Quest points. Together with the free-to-play quests, there is a total of 169 quests for 319 Quest points. Below is a list of all members-only quests.
There are 23 different skills in Old School RuneScape. All skills start out at level 1 except for Hitpoints, which starts with level 10. Players can advance a skill to level 99. After that, they can increase their experience up to 200,000,000 but get no more levels for doing so.
Runes can either be bought from the various Magic shops found throughout Old School RuneScape, created from rune essence, pure essence, or daeyalt essence through the Runecraft skill, procured from drops by killing monsters, or picked up from various spawns on the ground.
