The actual steps are different due to lack of standardization in UEFI implementation but the basic steps are the same. 28 de set. de 2024 · Mint: Go to properties of any folder, select last tab (file sharing), and click on "install Samba" button to make Mint installing the required software. Reboot Mint, and click on Network->Windows Network in Nemo and see what happens. Mint: I do not see the last tab you are speaking of.

If you find that Mint 17 is too much for that computer, try MX, or antiX. FYI, to any still reading, after getting the x11vnc server installed and tested, I went back to using NoMachine desktop server and client to control my Linux Mint 21 desktop.

Also, on Linux using secure boot it will further provide cert-authentication of Ihe kernel (.ko) dirvers. Some third party gpu drivers are not signed, and they will fail to load.
