melonDS had basic DSi camera emulation since version 0.9.1, but it wasn't very useful as it was just feeding a fixed stripe pattern as camera input. You guess this doesn't help sell our DSi emulation, seeing as cameras are the number one feature of that console, and the main reason some games support it at all instead of just sticking to the original DS.
21 de set. de 2024 · melonDS is a Nintendo DS emulator mainly developed by Arisotura (@StapleButter). It was first ported to the Switch by @Hydr8gon. I'm responsible for several optimisations and the current port. Depending mostly on whether a game utilises the 3D hardware of the DS a lot of games already reach fullspeed without overclocking.

Step 4 - Head to your MelonDS on your computer. Step 5 - Options, Emu settings. Step 6 - Head to DSI settings. Step 7 - Correspond the NAND files necessary to the ones I provided.

Guide. i finally got melonds to run at 60+ fps on my lower end surface pro laptop while playing pokemon, which are games known for having low fps when emulated. heres what i did: config > emu settings > cpu > enable JIT compiler (makes the game run wayyy faster)

I'm trying to find an NDS BIOS file that I can use for my emulator since the only NDS I have is broken and I don't think I can dump files from that. Every time I use the files from Emuparadise that everyone tends to use it never shows up and would only display a white screen, as seen in the screenshot.

melonDS advantages compared to Desmume: Faster performance: Interpreter is plain faster, and the recompiler while still early on makes it even faster. This is more obvious with older PC hardware and then console homebrew ports. (DeSmume tried to bridge the gap in 2019 with recompiler improvements.
5 de fev. de 2022 · Download it and then import it in MelonDS. Most emulators don't come with cheats pre-loaded, so you need to download them online and put them into the correct folder. With RetroArch, for example, you can download them within the app itself. Most emulators don't have that option.
15 de ago. de 2023 · Is it possible to save externally in MelonDS. I usually play on DesMuMe, and we can export a save file (.sav) and also import, but in MelonDS, there is only import. Is it possible to export the save or not? I want to also trade pokemon, so that is why I am switching from DesMuMe to MelonDS.
5 de abr. de 2021 · I thought the website looked oddly sketchy at first too, but I've had no problems downloading from it. But aside from trading, I will tell you that DeSmuME is far better suited for Pokemon games currently. The main benefit I've found to MelonDS is that it has a smoother fast forward/speed up. But at normal speed, it doesn't look or run great.
