22 de jan. de 2017 · I bought a very large box of lancet drums for my Accu Chek Fastclix back in 2014. There were over 200 lancets in total. I still have 30 lancets left. After your post I looked on the box, and sure enough there is an expiry date - March 2018. I only change my lancet when either it starts to hurt or refuses to draw blood.

However, if you do choose to reuse, you should at the very least regularly sterilise. This can be done in several ways... Boiling water, flames, or soak in something like TCP or Milton just for your own safety.
28 de out. de 2022 · My lancet is on the deepest setting, I wash in hot water, but nothing. I have to do the illegal squeeze half the time to get blood. The other day I accidentally cut myself, and ran off to get my meter to take advantage of the copious supply of blood!

5 de ago. de 2019 · Wash hands in warm water. Prime lancing device and hold against side of finger above the highest joint but don't press too hard. Release the lancet and massage the finger to get the blood. "Scoop" up the blood with the test strip and allow the meter to do the reading. Hope that helps. Last edited: Aug 5, 2019. S.
