She's remembered for all the classics, of course, but she delivered top-notch performances in later movies such as ISLAND IN THE SUN, A CERTAIN SMILE, THE WITCHES and many more .

11 de jun. de 2021 · Joan said that she had mentally prepared her 88 year old mom for a peaceful death -- she had cancer -- and that Olivia -- who didn't live in this country (Joan and the mom, Lillian, did) came in at the last minute and convinced the mother to have an operation. The mother died from the operation.

30 de dez. de 2021 · Vivien Leigh In Rebecca. I saw Vivien’s and Joan’s screen tests, and I must say Joan was the better choice to play Rebecca. She was much more vulnerable with her Plain Jane looks which were just right for Max’s wife. Joan had that wholesome, gawky, innocence that perfectly matched Olivier’s overpowering looks and authority.

And I loved the audiences reactions, like Grace's first huge close up and Stewart, Kelly, and Ritter trying to get the goods on Burr. "Miss Lonelyhearts was also the previous tenant to Joan Crawford in "Female on the Beach."

Benny did star in "To Be or Not to Be," but most of his other movies are forgotten today. He was huge on radio and later on television, but that was a very long time ago.
